Darley Remembered is still selling well in local shops, and orders are still coming in from across the country. There are still some copies left, so contact Sue Welch or visit one of the local shops to secure your copies. Sue is keen to get the group started again, so that it can continue collecting and archiving, and also to discuss its organisation and future projects. Monthly coffee mornings will be held from 10-12 noon on the first Thursday of every month at Christ Church Community Centre, starting on 11th March 2010. Sorry - the first meeting will be on 11 March - but after that they will be on the first Thursday... These will be informal affairs, with plenty of chat. Bring your old photos, memories and news cuttings, and ideas for future work.
So far, suggestions include a book on Darley School, more on sports teams, and a book about life since 1960. While it is hoped that those involved with Darley Remembered will want to come back we also need some new blood - so do come and join us. Nothing can happen without you and your memories, so do come along and help. If you cannot make it, but would like to be kept informed, please contact Sue on 780970.
