Darley Playing Fields Association is a voluntary charitable group which owns and maintains the sports field, pavilion and play facilities within Darley, on behalf of the village.
The Playing Fields are situated in Station Road, and comprise a football pitch, suitable for adult league matches, a pavilion, with changing and kitchen facilities, a basketball shooting practice area and a children's playground.
A refurbishment of the pavilion is currently taking place, to improve the changing facilities and provide excellent access for people with disability.
The facilities are available for hire by clubs and voluntary groups. Both the pavilion and sports field may be hired for football matches, parties, functions etc.. Rates per hire are available on application to 01423 780970.
Nidd United Junior Football Club play matches here on Sundays throughout the season, and Pateley Bridge Football Club also use the pitch for some matches on Saturday afternoons.
The next big event at the Playing Fields will be the Bonfire Night celebrations on the Fifth of November. There will be a huge bonfire, a spectacular firework display and lots of traditional bonfire night food for you to enjoy.
